Monthly Wrap Up - July
I swear I say this in every monthly post, but I cannot believe that it is already August. 2018 is moving a little too fast for me! I was not prepared. Nonetheless, I am going with the punches and taking things as they come. This year has been nothing like I expected it to be, but it has been amazing in many ways, and challenging in others. The month of July was an okay month personally, but a great month for the blog! With that being said, let's jump into the wrap up.
1. I am grateful for a pastor that cares about the members of his church. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to sit down with my pastor and gain some insight and clarity. He was able to give me godly advice which is essential when you are pursuing purpose.
2. I am grateful for everyone who has purchased the GROW Devotional Journal! I know this was one of the things I said last month, but I truly am grateful every time someone buys it. If you didn't know, I didn't write the devotions in the journal with the intention of putting them together and selling them. I was simply writing it to help myself. It is mind-blowing that people are actually reading and using it. I met and surpassed this month's sale goal so thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who bought one. If you have not bought one, I will be starting a journaling challenge in September and journals will go on sale on August 19th. More details to come!
3. I am grateful for life. I am grateful that God chose me as a vessel and that He continues to do a good work in me. I am grateful that He decides to wake me up in the morning and to give me another opportunity to do His will. If you are alive, I want you to know that every breath you take is proof that you are supposed to be here!
The month of July was very up and down for me. There were days that I felt amazing and other days when I was really just going through the motions. Towards the end of the month I got to the point where I realized that I had to change what I was doing because I was not in alignment with God, and I felt like it was showing. I attended the Woman Evolve conference this year, hosted by Sarah Jakes Roberts. It was an amazing, life-changing conference and I cannot wait to go back next year. If you weren't able to attend, you can watch all of the sessions online at www.womanevolve.com. This conference really had a big impact on my decision to change the direction I was going in and to surrender to God.
As far as blogging goes, I didn't do a very good job of publishing a blog twice a week, but I tried to make up for it by posting four blog posts last week. That was a lot of work but it's important to me that I get good content up on the blog every month. I have my editorial calendar all planned out for the month of August so hopefully I can stick to two posts a week. One of my blogging goals for July was to hit 1,500 page views. Unfortunately, we didn't make that goal but we did hit 1,100 page views which is still AMAZING! This is a huge milestone for me, especially because this blog is only three months old today. So thank you to everyone who has taken the time out to read any of my blog posts.
