10 Affirmations for Healthy Friendships

"A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." - Proverbs 17:17
"Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man do not go, lest you learn his ways and set a snare for your soul." - Proverbs 22:24-25
"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
When I was writing this I really wanted to find a biblical scripture for friend. I feel like everyone has different definitions of friends and the way that friendships work. Proverbs 17:17 says that a friend loves at all times, but what is love? 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 says it's patient, kind, not self-seeking, and not easily angered among other things. Proverbs 22:24 also mentions not befriending people who are easily angered. So if a friend loves at all times, then we should be looking for people who are patient, kind, humble, forgiving, etc. We also must not forget that we can’t expect this from others, but not be the same in return. As we work on being better friends to others, we will attract good friends to us as well.

That was an excerpt from one of the days in the GROW Devotional Journal. One of the topics in that journal was relationships and I felt like it was super important for me as a Christian and as a woman to discover what Godly relationships and friendships look like. If you use affirmations, below are ten that you can use to attract the right people into your life.

If you don't use affirmations but you do pray, try incorporating some of the statements below into your prayer. For example, "Dear Heavenly Father, your word says that it is not good for man to be alone, so I come to you now asking you to place people around me that accept me unconditionally. Heal my heart oh Lord, so that I am able to attract positive relationships into my life that are meaningful and rewarding."

Switch them up however you would like or find a couple to repeat in the mirror every morning until they start to become your reality. At the end of this post is also a printable with all ten affirmations so you can print them out and take them with you.
